Feed Those In Need This Christmas🙏🙏

For many of us, this Christmas will be a muted celebration with families and loved ones separated by a pandemic that has affected us all.

This year, more than any other, has made me think that this is an ongoing reality for many of the most vulnerable in our society, especially the elderly and the sick. A reality which a vaccination with the highest efficacy will not ease.

I came across a wonderful charity called Little Sisters Of The Poor who home and care for the most vulnerable in Hong Kong. Francesca and I had originally planned to spend our Christmas with them to bring some joy and hopefully not tears, but Covid restrictions have made any such visit impossible.

Therefore, we have decided to plan a simple gesture of donating a full Christmas lunch for all the residents and staff of the Aberdeen home, and if we can raise enough funds, to the residents of the Sheung Shui home as well, for a total of 210 people.

We will need to raise enough for 46 Roasts with all the trimmings to be delivered on Christmas Day / Boxing Day.

The fund raising will close at midnight on the 15nd January 2021. Should there be any surplus funds a cash donation will be made to Little Sisters Of The Poor for them to use as they see fit. All transactions will be recorded with official receipts.

Anything you can donate will be hugely appreciated. It will make someone's Christmas, and certainly make mine. Should this not be the cause for you please consider another close to your heart.
