Feed the Puppies

Free the Puppies-Feed the Puppies was created by Portia Carlos, Katt Torres, Sid Buan and Pam Santiago with the intention of supporting two causes they are all very passionate about: Women's Rights and Animals.

These two passions were combined by making an event called 'Free the Puppies' is a braless event to make people more aware of the ridiculousness of stare downs and cat-calling that women have to go through for going braless. Be it for supposed health reasons, fashion, or just plain comfiness-- women are forced to cage their puppies. They wanted to create a night and environment to empower women to feel comfortable and confident and possibly educate some people who do cat-call or stare at girls and take that security away from women. They then added their love for animals to the picture by turning this event into a charity for animals. ‘Free the Puppies’ to ‘Feed the Puppies’!

All the money that was raised at the event will be delivered to 'Save ALL' in Quezon City and 'Dog Mountain' in La Union personally by the four girls this weekend. Both trips will be documented so everyone can see what is being given and delivered to the animals of both places. In hopes of raising as much as possible before making these deliveries, we have decided to give this a shot.

'Save ALL' started back in 2013 when a group of people saved 20 dogs from euthanasia at the Quezon City pound. Since then, they have rescued and assisted in rescues and medical treatment of 322 dogs and cats.

'Dog Mountain' began 11 years ago when they saved 100 dogs from meat traders. They then built a sanctuary for these dogs which later opened it's doors to other abandoned, injured and abused dogs. They now house around 250 dogs and over 30 cats as well.

So if anyone didn't make it to the event and wanted to or if there are just people out there that would like to help these incredible people who are taking care of all these animals, here's your chance. <3
