₱3,200.00Donated So Far
My family and I are raising funds for the benefit of our locals. We come from a small city (Ozamiz) in the southern part of the Philippines where majority of the populace are on a daily income basis. In the advent of this worldwide pandemic where the people in my community were caught offguard, it is a daily struggle for the people on the ground to heed to the strick rules of the "Enhanced Community Quarantine". With little to no income at all due to the sudden shutdown of all workforces save for banks and skeletal workforces of government agencies, the marginalized are left with no choice but to put their lives at risk and disobey the primary pandemic rule to "Stay at Home". They would openly expose themselves to the possibility of catching the fatal virus (and passing it on to others) , in contrast to watching their own families' possible demise from starvation.
Thus, it is up to us to come together and harness our own previlege and overflow of blessings in order to uplift others, most especially in time of their dire need.
We have, by far, given out a few hundred food packs to tricycle drivers, persons with disabilities, mendicants forced out of the streets, blind masseuse, sidewalk vendors, etc., whose livelihood was abruptly disrupted by this quarantine. But that was far from being enough. There are still hundreds of hungry families asking for help.
We therefore earnestly ask you to donate any amount to this cause. Donations can be made thru credit card/debit card. Be rest assured that your donation will be put to good use, properly accounted for and official receipts of purchases shall be furnished.
May God bless us all and deliver us in this trying times.
