Feed hungry children in Uganda

We need your help to feed starving orphans and vulnerable children in the remote District of Butebo

Bugisu Muslim Development Centre has been keen in assessing the situation of orphans and vulnerable children in rural communities, the findings reveals that Many children are starving and have gone malnourished due to lack of adequate nutritious food. The targeted children eat one meal a day if happens to eat, some just survive on chewing some raw mangoes and oranges, if they found any. Getting empty stomach for a full day or two days is not a right start for a health person. This limits their concentration, attention and energy to participate in other co-curricular activities. This affect their health and retards their welbeing thus poor performance in their daily routine work.

Upon realizing the needs of these orphans and vulnerable children, BMDC intervenes by setting up a hot meal for over 200 children on daily basis, this will help to improve their health status.

Therefore, we call upon all donors, friends and well wishers to come up and join us in saving the lives of our young brothers and sisters who are starving.

Imagine many families in developed countries can have over four meals a day but in developing countries like Uganda is very hard to get even one meal a day.

This project will be sustained by training the caretakers of these children in modern farmings and kitchen garden establishment at every households. Thereafter, we shall support them with planting materials both seeds and farming tools. This will help to alleviate poverty and improve the income for these households.
