Campaign Story
A $ 10 TO FEED A FAMILY IN A DAY DURING THIS LOCKDOWN IN MANILA
The whole world stopped and every one of us is affected by the COVID19, some are still lucky enough to feed their family members, some are unfortunate to be locked down due to no income. I am from Manila, the Philippines and the government already extended our lockdown period till 30th and possible to extend more due to the progressing numbers of COVID patients.
I am knocking your kind heart this Easter Sunday with this fundraising. I am 30 y.o and I've been through a lot of challenges and I learned to give not because I have much but because I know exactly how it feels to have nothing.
The government is already trying its best to support and help its people but still not enough to feed the whole nation. I am knocking your good heart to help our people mostly from the lower class family. A $10 which is ( 500 PHP ) would feed a family ( 3 - 5 members ) for a day. That includes 4 kgs. of rice, noodles and some canned goods. Through this, we will be able to help to feed the families mostly from the lower class and their kids even just for a day.
I know that it is tough in the US and in other parts of the world too, but if it’s possible and you are able and so ahead, they need help here. Mostly the kids from the urban areas.
I am raising at least $5,000 ( 250,000 PHP ) which will help feed 300 to 500 families for the rest of the days this month. That's $10 for each family. Any amount will be appreciated. This small act of kindness; the $10 will GO A LONG WAY.
Let's help one another. This all shall pass. Thank you!
