Campaign Story
After typhoon Yolanda, I worked with farmers from the North Western part of Leyte as we have a small property there and found that recovery was as fast as a snail. I have come to learn that the reason why they are still in poverty is in their difficulty in adopting to new methods and technology.
They are too set with the traditional farming methods and beliefs that traditional seminars, trainings and discussion set up meetings will not be effective tools. They will learn and better assimilate the learning by showing them the results. They have the "to see is to believe" attitude.
Since educational levels are low they need training on the basics of supervision, management, documentation, and many more.
It is the purpose of this campaign to equip them with these knowledge and to show them, in actual results, that these will improve their productivity and income.
