In Africa, there is a wide scarcity of protein-rich feed additives such as fishmeal, sunflower meal and soybeans, some of which are also consumed by humans. The price of these raw ingredients is growing significantly year on year thus affecting on cost of animal feed.

At FARM GATE we aim to change all this by starting on a venture of rearing the Black Soldier Fly to replace use of other popular sources of protein for animal feeds production.

With technical and capacity building support from the community, we aim to revolutionize the livestock feed industry.
