Help Eva Save Her Grandmother’s House

The story

In the little town of Volos, central Greece, a 1960's house is my legacy after my grandmother's death. It's a little stone building with 2 floors that carries the traditional architecture of the area. Unfortunately, due to the debts that my parents have and the legal expenses that I must pay in order to accept the legacy, it's practically impossible for me to save this house from confiscation. After being out of work due to the pandemic for the past months I found a new job but even so my salary is not enough and the time runs out. I have less than 6 months to redeem and claim the ownership of my grandmother's house otherwise I will lose it forever.

The project

I started this funding not only to save and preserve my heritage, the house of my beloved grandmother, but also to turn this building into a cozy place for travellers who are interested in visiting my beautiful city. This way I will be able to earn a side income and help people to explore the culture and traditions of the old Greece.

The initial amount of donations will pay the legal fees, lawyer, notary and taxes. During the second phase, the house will be renovated. As this stone house is over 60 years old, it requires a handsome amount of money, a lot of personal work and some contribution from my friends to hopefully turn it into a warm place to welcome guests. Finally, if this project becomes successful, I will be able to dedicate a part of the monthly income for charity purposes in Africa and Thailand.
