Campaign Story
Hello Friends,
We are a registered level 3A start up medical & wellness centre located in Vihiga County,Kenya.We offer medical and mental health services (psychiatry,drug and alcohol rehabilitation and psychological counseling) on outpatient basis.We are looking for a $ 400,000 in support funding to sustain and expand our services.We wish to acquire key lab equipments, medical equipments ,drugs and enhance our human resource to improve on the quality of services offered.The facility also desires to offer inpatient services for mental health and alcohol & drug rehabilitation.Currently we refer clients who require specialized laboratory tests and in patient care .There is a gap in accessing quality and affordable Mental health services currently in the region.The facility is located in a low income setting ( rural Kenya) and therefore bringing quality,affordable and accessible services to the people will have a positive impact to the general wellbeing and quality of life.We desire to increase mental health awareness both locally and nationally while addressing the stigma associated with mental health illnesses and treatment in our society.
We had a lot of start up costs involved in setting up of the medical centre and we are yet to pick up properly forcing us to reduce the number of staff that we had initially brought onboard.Our dream is to be an evidence based centre of excellence which provides holistic care to our patients.Your support will go a long way in impacting positively on the overall wellbeing of our patients and the society: socio-economically, physically and psychologically.
