I have published in 2017 the first book in Hungarian about the archaeological heritage of Transylvania. The aim of that book was to promote of the most spectacular archaeological sites of our region and to rise awareness on the importance of our cultural heritage. This second book is a continuation of the first, with a 60 pages long chapter on the history of archaeology in Transylvania. I was lucky to find some sponsors, but unfortunately we still need 2000 lei (aprox 450 euro) to have a chance to publish this volume. Why in Hungarian? In English literature there are lots of books on public archaeology. In the last years there were important books published in Romanian too, but nobody writes for the Hungarian community in Romania. I’m trying to promote the notion of public archaeology and to build a society which will be responsible for its cultural heritage.
