Why do we need the Equality Parade?

For seventeen years now, the Equality Parade has been passing through the streets of Warsaw. It is the largest event promoting equality, freedom, and diversity in Poland. Last year almost 50,000 people celebrated together and we hope to see even more of you this year.Even though it’s inspired by gay pride marches in the United States and Western Europe, it has a deeper meaning in the Polish reality. The idea behind our gathering is the promotion of freedom, equality, and tolerance. We’d like to underline the diversity among minorities and other excluded groups fighting for their rights.

Who are we?

The main organiser is the Volunteers of Equality Foundation with almost 100 members. The volunteers devote their time to making this event safe, beautiful, and colourful. We have a clear and specific vision which we are implementing with Supporting Organisations.

Why are we fundraising?

The previous fundraiser demonstrated our community’s need to collectively organise the Equality Parade. The former method of financing allowed for only partial implementation of the ideas we’ve had. Because of the fundraiser, we were able to organise history’s biggest Equality Parade with numerous attractions for its participants and a free of charge post-march party. Let’s do it again this year!

We want the Equality Parade to be our combined effort so let’s build it together. Each contribution is very meaningful. By donating even a small amount you become a co-organiser and have influence over the effect.

Together let’s organise a celebration of equality and mutual respect. We hope this Equality Parade will be the most impressive of all so we can show Poland, Europe, the world, and each other what we can do when we combine our efforts.

What will the funds go to?

We want this year's Parade to be the biggest one yet. It will be accompanied by extraordinary events, such as the 2nd open and day-long picnic of pro-equality organizations in Warsaw's city center - the gathering will turn into a marvelous after-party in the evening. We would love for everyone taking part in the march to have fun with us after our walk has ended. That is why we need more funds than ever before.Support our fundraiser and then - join the fun! The planned expenses include:
15.000ZŁ - a platform, a driver and the march's promotion
30.000ZŁ - an open concert (a stage, sound equipment and, most importantly, artists)
10.000ZŁ - The Equality Campus (tents for NGOs and our partners, a play zone for kids)
12.000ZŁ - the essentials for all participants' comfort (additional Toi Tois, water to drink, safety bars etc.)
15.000ZŁ - printing (guides, T-shirts, banners, IDs)
10.000ZŁ - security
12.000ZŁ - production and shipping of the fundraiser prizes
7.000ZŁ - accounting service

If we manage to raise more money...

thanks to your help, this year's Parade will be a more beautiful, interesting and safe event than we could possibly imagine. Additional funds will enable us to, above all, provide even better security for the occasion. The safety of the Parade's participants is our top priority. We will also enhance the quality of many attractions, e. g. build a larger stage, or organize new ones, such as a photobooth or free goodies (flags, fluo sticks etc.) for our participants. What if we don't reach our fundraiser's goal?

If the sum we collect is less than we planned,

we'll still organize a colorful and vivacious celebration of equality! Regardless of the money, we will do our best for this year's Parade to be the biggest and best one in history. However, we will have to resign tons of awesome ideas and we will not be able to provide as much entertainment during and after the march as we intend to.
