This summer, I will be traveling to Costa Rica to work with Edventure International on environmental conservation. I will work with sea turtles, monkeys, and sloth and work to improve their habitats. I am excited to live with a host family and have the opportunity to improve my Spanish fluency. I will be working alongside other international volunteers. Ultimately, I hope to further my growth as an individual, a student, and a professional through leadership training.

However, as this is a service trip, I also hope to make an impact while I am in Costa Rica and beyond. While this is only a three-week project, I see this as an opportunity to learn as much as I can about the challenges Costa Rica's wildlife is facing so I can return to the United States and begin to raise awareness around the issue while continuing to work for environmental conservation.
