The Eco Lodge Vision:

• Harvest Your Own Meals: Imagine wandering through lush gardens, plucking fresh fruits and vegetables to prepare a meal in your private cabana. This hands-on experience will reconnect people with their food source and teach them valuable skills.
• Sustainable Living: Our lodge will consist of five cabanas and a main building, all powered by solar energy. Rainwater will be collected to ensure a sustainable water supply. We'll also focus on using locally sourced materials to support the community.
• Working with Nearby Community: We see our lodge as an educational hub working nearby farming community. Workshops and programs will empower individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to lead more self-reliant, eco-conscious lives.

The Project: Our plan for the eco lodge includes the construction of five cabanas and a main building, all powered by clean solar energy and supplied with rainwater. Here's a breakdown of our funding needs:

1. Water Storage Containers: We need two water storage containers, each costing $1,500 USD, for a total of $3,000 USD. These will be sourced locally in Belize.
2. Solar System: To kickstart our eco-friendly energy source, we require a battery and inverter, totaling $3,500 USD. This includes a wall charger for the battery. Solar panels will be locally sourced in Belize.
3. Cabanas and Main Building: The estimated cost to construct two cabanas and the main building (including walls, roofs, foundations, windows, and doors) is $8,500 USD each, amounting to $25,500 USD. The other two cabanas will be built as we expand our operations.
4. Solar System Expansion: Initially, we aim to install a single battery to allow us to stay on the property at night for the first few months while we clear the underbrush. Our long-term goal is to invest in a comprehensive solar system from Signature Solar (signaturesolar.com) in Texas, which costs $16,000 USD, excluding panels. We will purchase solar system components separately as needed.

Please note that shipping costs from Texas to Belize are not included in our budget, as we will manage these expenses ourselves.
