NOTE: $340 has already been paid to the previous vet and as deposit to the specialist vet. The remaining cost is for his hospitalization, treatment and emergency surgery at the specialist vet. Bills will be posted once I have them as he's still currently warded.

Any help towards his bill is greatly appreciated. Only God can repay your kindness and please do keep him in your prayers

July 30th 2022

BamBam couldn't urinate at 5 am. We waited until 10 am to go to the vet but unfortunately all vets were closed except 1 due to public holiday. That vet didn't think it was an emergency yet because he was still eating and his bladder was only half full. We went back home with just anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant meds.

BamBam was still eating until 5pm before his condition turned for the worse. He started vomiting and getting weaker by the hour. At midnight he was vomiting more. I panicked. An emergency 24 hour vet is in another city that's 2 hours away. They said he might not make the journey if we went. There were a lot of other issues as well.

We waited until 10am next morning to go to a vet. It was an agonizing wait. BamBam is such a strong boy. He fought so hard to stay strong and made it through the night but it was already an emergency.

It was a rush against time. He would vomit every time he moved.

We managed to get him warded on July 31st and a catheter was inserted and he was on IV fluid and some meds.

The next 3 days

His condition wasn't improving. The vet had the "Oh well" attitude and saying they are already doing the maximum treatment which to me was bullcrap.

BamBam was wet the whole time and shaking and shivering. By the 3rd day his condition was declining. He was giving up and his body was shutting down. Doc wouldn't even update me what meds they're giving and treatment. His blood test showed very high WBC reading. It wasn't looking good.

I didn't feel right. I had a bad feeling. Instantly I felt like I needed to make a last effort to save him and get a 2nd opinion at a different specialist vet surgeon who once successfully did PU surgery on my old cat.

I quickly called the specialist vet and begged for help. I quickly discharged him and transferred him. He was warded at a new vet.

New Specialist Vet

He was put on IV, given antibiotics, gastric med and his old catheter was blocked so they redid it. His new blood test reading has improved from the previous day but his temperature was low. They put warm compress for him. He's also on feeding tube as he couldn't eat on his own.

He was not responsive on 2nd day but 3rd day he was showing some improvement. His leg kicked my hand. Then couple of days after he started to be more alert instead of staring blankly into nothingness and has responded to me with soft meow.

They took the catheter out on Aug 8th but unfortunately he still wasn't able to pee. His urine also has been red tainted with crystals and tissues which means he's still blocked.

And emergency surgery is needed. I agreed for it.

At the time this is written, he is about to do the surgery. Please keep him in your prayers. He has been a strong boy and a fighter the past week and I hope he will continue to be strong.
