Help power a rural home in Costa Rica

Since 2005 our family has been struggling with the electric company (JASEC) to provide our house with electricity. No assistance has been giving to our family in over 15 years, we manage to live renting off a house in Cartago, but our dream has always been to move in our property.

Costa Rica economy is going through a serious debt issue and it got worst during Covid-19, our hope for the electric company to provide our home with electricity keeps fading away. Banks in Costa Rica will not support you with a loan if the property lacks electricity or water services.

During the past months we were given the option by JASEC to pay a contractor who will be supervised by JASEC to complete the job and our dream will finally come true.

2 other families live close to our home and this project will impact a total of 3 families.

The private company in charge of the project name is Ampere and it’s charging us $12000.

This project is not only for our home but for all future families who may want to move in the area. All the infrastructure built will be transferred to the Public electric company (JASEC), this is by law in Costa Rica.

We are humbling asking for any kind of help which will bring us closer or our long-life project to live in a peaceful place and give back to the community.
