Campaign Story
2020 has not been the kindest year to everyone—calamities, pandemic, and personal battles. As for our family, this year is ending with a new trial.
17 years ago, she had undergone multiple surgeries including an esophageal reconstruction using skin grafting to treat her Gastroesophagitis. The skin from her thigh and forearm were used to reconstruct her esophagus. After a successful operation, she was able to eat again, however, she is unable to absorb the full nutrients of the food, leading to low blood level.
Currently, our sister, Pamela "Elay" Dimalanta, is admitted at Metropolitan Hospital in Metro Manila, Philippines.
In the onset of her admission, she needed blood transfusion to increase her hemoglobin level. Blood transfusion was required, and with the help of our family and friends who donated blood, Elay was able to receive the blood transfusion she needed.
A few days after, she complained about a severe headache. She was given pain medications and did a CT scan. The result showed a 60 ml internal bleeding, she is now diagnosed with Hemorrhagic Stroke.
As recommended by the doctor, she needs further tests to detect the cause.
At present, the hospital bills are increasing, and we are struggling financially to cover the expenses.
We are knocking on your kind hearts for financial help in any amount.
