What is EFT?

Similar to acupuncture and acupressure, EFT focuses on the meridian points to restore balance to your body’s energy. Restoring this energy balance can relieve symptoms of stress and trauma.
Based on Chinese medicine, meridian points are thought of as areas of the body energy flows through. These pathways help balance energy flow to maintain your health. Any imbalance can influence disease or sickness.
Tapping helps you access your body’s energy and send signals to the part of the brain that controls stress. By stimulating the meridian points through EFT tapping you can reduce the stress or negative emotion you feel from your issue, ultimately restoring balance to your disrupted energy.

Why EFT to Moria

The people living in Moria already endured a lot before they arrived in the camp. War, oppression, violence, torture, rape, losing family members, a life threatening journey to Europe etc. Most of the residents are severely traumatized and are now living in inhumane living conditions in Moria camp. Overcrowded, exposed to the elements of nature, poor diet, long waiting hours in line for food -medical help, limited medical care, almost no access to mental healthcare, uncertainty, violence and so on. They are constantly under stress and triggered in their trauma.

on the body

Headache, muscle tension or pain, chest pain, fatigue, digestive problems, sleep problems, weakened immune system, illness.

on your mood

Anxiety, restlessness, lack of motivation or focus, feeling overwhelmed, sadness or depression, irritability or anger.

on your behavior

Overeating or undereating, angry outbursts, drug or alcohol misuse, tobacco use, social withdrawal, self harm.


EFT is of huge benefit as it can lower stress levels by 40%. It works with the nervous system, supporting the body to go into a calm response rather than a highly charged state and research demonstrates it can:
