Hello Everyone. My name is Elisha Miranda, eldest daughter of Edwin Miranda, 45 years old, a legal OFW in Abu Dhabi UAE

My father has been admitted in Intensive Care Unit of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City due to brain operation (Intracerebral Hemorrhage). He suffered a major stroke this past September. Subsequently, he required a lifesaving hemi craniectomy in which they will remove part of his skull on the left side of her head to allow the brain to swell without causing any more damage, soon he will undergo on operation again to put back his left bone flap.

I immediately flew to Abu Dhabi, to take care of my father and to be with him during this troubling time. I was given the chance to speak with his doctors who conducted the brain operation and according to his neurosurgeon they can possibly identify the physical and mental effect to papa stating that he is no longer fit to work. He needs a series of therapies (physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy) to start as soon as he is medically stable, in order to regain his physical function as quickly as possible and to ensure maximum recovery.

He is the breadwinner in our family with 4 children. I am currently here in Abu Dhabi searching for job opportunities while taking care of my Father. My second sister Elijah Jirah is 15 years old and currently a grade 10 student, my brother David Nathaniel, he is 13 years old and currently a grade 8 student and my youngest sister Eunice, she is 6 years old and currently a grade 1 student. My mother is a housewife and she's taking care of my siblings. It has been hard to take care of my family and to provide for them during this time. We are relying heavily on the kindness of others. My siblings are too young to work and it has been a struggle to find the means to get papa his medical needs.

My family and I are knocking on your good heart to ask for financial assistance for my fathers' medicine, and therapies. He is a strong, optimistic man of God, we are praying for his complete healing and full recovery.
