Education in The Street

Hi, My Name is Ruth, I live in Indonesia.

Let me tell you a little story behind all this.

Everyday to go to work, I use the public transportation. And every single day, I see little kids going around the street bagging or selling newspaper or snacks. It never bothered me the first few months until that one day. This little girl looking confused at a magazine behind a crossing bridge pillar near my office, next to her was a bunch of plastic raincoat. I bought her a bottle of water, and began to talk to her. Long story short, she kinda have to work to hep her family, by selling those raincoat. She never got any education in her life, and that explains why she had that confused look towards the magazine she was holding, she cannot read it. That hit me hard. From my point of view, every little kids deserve a basic education (at least). That is why I am trying to start this funding. Yes, there's just me and my bestfriend right now working on this project, and please understand, my bestfriend refuses to have her name exposed. The goal of this project is: to create a shelter that contains books and toys for little kids that lives in the street, we'll also schedule a weekend ABC class for them and it will all be free.

Please help those kids to be able to read.
