About the program
This is a program initiated by the school for a group of highly potential primary school children, aged 12 & below, majorities are underprivileged whose parents can't afford to equip them with full version of revision books as well as tuition fees for extra classes or participate in some essential educational programs.
Located at an outskirt area, many comes from low income families therefore they do not have proper facilities at home to study such as their own tables & chairs, complete reference books and other learning tools. Some even stay in cramp homes and not learning friendly environment.
Despite the above, many are excellent students whose exceed those from urban schools in terms of both academic and extra curricular activities.
What's inside the program
Being raised in such non-condusive environment, those children are frequently found to be lack in motivation.
The purpose of this program is to create awareness and get them prepared for a prerequisite exam by end of this year before they can proceed to next academic level. This is crucial as they will proceed with secondary school stage and this will determined their future direction.
For the high achievers, the program is to motivate, guide & maintain their capabilities.
As for the rest, the focus is to identify their weakness and enhance their learning skills.
The children will be segregate into smaller groups in class.
The need for funding
The teachers work extra miles to make sure their pupils are capable & achieve the expectations. The government only provide standard facilities based on school needs. Therefore we come together to contribute ideas, skills & energy to make this happen. Still lack in fund, we really hope that there would be some generous people out there to support this project.
The fund is to cover all expenses incurred for the whole program which includes books, fees, teaching aid, meals, transportation and other expenses needed.
Any additional funds received will go to their school to use it to upgrade the facilities for a better learning environment & also for any good cause arise thereafter. Your contributions will definitely put a smile on them & help to reshape their future.
Any enquiries are welcomed & I am pleased to provide as much info as I could that might help contributors to have a clear picture about this project.
