The story of Christ's love in the soul of Melchizedek who took care of 12 abandoned children in South East Timor
Easter is a testament of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ to mankind through the sacrifice of His life. Now we find another love of Christ in the soul of Mr. Melchizedek.
"4 years ago there was a mother who wanted to exchange her baby with a cow. The baby girl sleeps soundly in a cloth. I was touched. Since then I have decided to care for children who are abandoned by their parents. "-Mr. Melchizedek
The baby is Michel. He was not sold and saved by Mr Melchizedek. Michel was treated and lived in Mr. Melchizedek's house, located in Bijaepunu Village, Kapan Mollo Utara Sub-District, Soe Regency, South East Timor.
Michel grew up along with 12 other children who were also abandoned by the family because of the economic crush. But under the care of Mr Melchizedek they get a new family.
In fact, to support the 12 children, Mr Melchizedek and his wife only work as farmers and sell grass for cow food with income Rp.50000 per day. This income is certainly not enough to support 12 foster children.
Despite his lack of life, but Mr Melchizedek never complained to raise Michel and the other children. For him, children are a blessing.
"Their smiles are our happy," said Mr. Melchizedek with a big smile.
Mr Melchizedek is one of hundreds of servants of God who have the love of Christ.
On this Passover day Mercy Foundation took the initiative to raise funds to help Mr. Melchizedek and other servants of God in East Timor and surrounding areas by providing a pair of goats. This goat will be a capital for them to raise and improve the family economy of Mr Melchizedek and his 12 foster children
