Dream Studies,Game Art in Art and Technology Degree

Hello!!!

My name is Zosea and I’m 24 years old. I come from Moldova(East Europe). I started drawing since I was 3 years old. There were no art schools in my country and my family never had funds to pay for undergraduate program,so I’ve been working in the fields of child day care+babysitting,Au-Pair(Germany),volunteer work at dog pound(helping with stray dogs problem), non-profit animal training,PC and related tech problem solving and all that for about 5 years(well ever since I finished high school). Now I live in The Netherlands and I found a Home here and a wonderful place to do my studies and get a Degree.

I enjoy making modds(not 3D,mostly texture modifications) for the video games that I like(Mass Effect,Skyrim,Assassins Creed,Prince of Persia trilogy,Beyond Good and Evil,Kingdoms of Amalur:Reckoning,Tomb Raider).Absolutely admire Bioware team.

Game Art Bachelor includes 2D concept drawing,painting,character design and 3Dmodeling, basic programming,texturising,bit of animation,teamed up projects with game developers department in the university itself.I’ve been playing games since I was 4 or 5 years old,started with the original equivalent of NES,then Sega Genesis and after that - early PC. I liked the idea of how much you can learn(well early games were never dubbed or translated in any way-and I loved it!),expirience and see from thousands of different angles and perspectives. Most of all i do love character design and concept art.Both have wide fields of research,that has to be done(process is quite thrilling). And theres just something about it,working in the game development industry...making thoughts take form,letting others roam through something you helped create,being part of community that contributes to game development and culture...that is something I want to do.So I hope my dream of studies will start coming true with your help!

Fiancial part - where does the money go: The amount includes the tuition fee for the university for a year(I’m not EU or EEA citizen,so I need to pay more) and financial guarantee for the IND(immigration department) to prolong my Residence Permit for Studies. And before you ask -Yes,it’s a payment for only one year out of 4 years,which would be in total 64000 euros. I can’t ask for that much, because I’m not the only one in need. This 22000 will help me get started and along the way I will search for more opportunities and work even harder.
