Dream Education

We are all born with a fire which is burning inside in every one of us. We all have dreams that need to be strived into reality. But when we encounter the high walls that make the destiny obscure, it pushes us to question our reality and dreams. Growing up when father works in the military is tough. You can only see him twice or if lucky thrice a year. When you see Mom cutting up her wellbeing to see us smiling. When you have to rise up against the bullies yourself because you can't complain to Mom about them as she would stress out. Changing schools to new environment always made me question life and why do we do what we do. Why some are happy with a penny while some insecure with million dollars. Why some share other punishes. What makes the difference? In the search for it with a burden of empty Education, I began to think why do we even educate ourselves when we can't even remember Kindergarten lesson of "Love everybody and share everything". Dream Education for me is the education that ignites the fuel inside us. That is going to make open our boundaries of understanding. That's what I found in Quest University Canada and Minerva schools at KGI. I prepared and applied to both these unconventional Universities. I got rejected from Minerva but got accepted by Quest. Beneath the big smile on face lied a deeper concern for finance. I still didn't know how I am going to fund that. I waited for the financial aid results. Quest University granted me $20,000 out of $41,550 per year. I can't express how happy I was, witnessing the miracles of life. Then I started calculating the other half and planned to get a loan. I will do anything for the Education I dreamed for years and even if it means traveling abroad to study with a debt on top of my head. I contacted the bank and then the real harsh reality hit me. They are not going to provide me the loan, as I can't show them property worth the money needed. Then I knocked Embassy for Scholarships. There are no scholarships whatsoever. Then knocked Indian government. My state govt. only provides money for graduate studies, only when accepted in Ivy League colleges. Then wrote letters to celebrities like Ellen and Oprah for money. Haven't got any reply from them. Tried reaching out to actors but wasn't able to surpass the security. I believe that barriers are only gifted that test the vivacity in our dreams. How badly we want our dreams to come true. I am trying everything I possibly can, to reach out to people who can and will help me. If you don't see the light in a tunnel, then you aren't walking enough. If knocking the door isn't working out, then start slamming. The door will break eventually. Well yeah, this is my story, my reality, and  my dream to get the education the want. I want to end it with a verse of my favorite poems:  "Manzilen Unko Hi Milti Hain Jinke Sapnon Mein Hai Jaan Hoti   Pankhon Se Nahi Arey Hoslon Se Hai Udan Hoti"   Translation: Only he gets to the top, who has the fire in his dreams. Wings don't make us fly. Courage does.
