Hi dear friends We are a big family of 15 donkeys of all ages.Until the year 2015,we all had different owners. One day they got tired, they placed us on a truck and gave us away.At the beginning we were all confused, our new owners treated us quite strangely.Instead of hitting us they would kiss and caress us,they had our nails done, they gave us massages with aloe Vera,and they brought a doctor so we can be vaccinated.Not to mention the vitamins we were given to heal our skin problems.Now people come and bring us bread and fruits.what a treat!!!so to show our appreciation, we took people with us in magical places.Angelina and Christos her son were very patient and taught us again what freedom meant (with lots of space and without steel mouth pieces and ropes tied around our legs).There are times we are tempted to leave our trails so we can treat ourselves to thistle.Thats not a problem, though. All they do is guide us back to our trail.We follow them because we also love them!Unfortunately our home was in the center of the wildfires in Rhodes Greece, we were all saved after evacuated many many times, it was very scary.Our home,our nature our forests were destroyed and now Angelina and Christos can not make any more with us the excursions to have an income. Without your help they will not be able to bring us food and medicines that we need and to bring more abandoned, old and sick donkeys to live in a safe home. the dream of Christos to fill the mountains with donkeys will never accomplish.No donation is too small to make a difference. Thank you very very very much from Christos, Angelina, Floufli, Tsampiko, Sebastian, Foivos, toofast, Argiris, Thoma, Katerina, Paris, Manolis, Remi, Bruno, Giannis, kalotina and the baby Tom. Dear Cristos and Angelique, we hope you are doing well after the bushfires and have already started rebuilding your little village and the donkey farm. I hope the old family domain and windmill are still in tact and a place to visit. We send hereby you small donation to help rebuild, regain trust and food/medicine for your work with the donkeys.
