Rising from the Ashes – Call for donations to restore St. George Christakis Hassapis Centre for Children with Special Needs.
This is an urgent request for your help in repairing the damage caused by the devastating fire of June 9th, 2020. We hope that this fundraising platform will allow the Centre to resume operations as soon as possible. The fire has caused considerable damage and we are racing against time to welcome back the vulnerable children and adults that live within its walls. Your kind contributions can make a significant difference today.
About the Centre:
St. George Christakis Hassapis Centre for Children with Special Needs was established in 1992 in Larnaca, Cyprus. Its mission is to support and nurture children and adults with severe mental and physical disabilities, of which a large number live permanently at the Centre.The annual government grant covers as a very small percentage of the costs, therefore the Centre faces a constant struggle to cover the overwhelming expenses.
