AIESEC is an international youth-run, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development, cross-cultural internships, and global volunteer exchange experiences. The organization focuses on empowering young people to make a Progressive social impact.

Dear Alumni of AIESEC in Latvia, and Everyone,

We are hoping that you are well during this period of uncertainty and with confidence that we will overcome the current challenges, we expose to you the unfortunate reality that AIESEC in Latvia is facing at the moment, having to stop the majority of our activities due to the current COVID-19 outbreak. Since all our activities are centralized on sending youth talent across the world and gather big amounts of people for events, we are hit very hard by the recent development of the ban of events and travel restrictions. Which also it is difficult to cover our expenses.

Currently, we are taking action finding replacements of the activities with the partners like digital offers, postponement of events and communication with the exchange participants. Many ideas have been developed already, but we are afraid that these initiatives won’t be enough to cover the gap, leading us to a risk of not being able to continue performing for much longer.

This is why we decided to reach out to you and ask for your financial support in these challenging and crucial times of AIESEC in Latvia. We are confident that we will manage to recover from this period, and have the ability to continue to impact many more people’s lives in the future, with your help through these difficult times.
