Dogillness Norway

Four weeks ago, my dog, Karo (10 years old), got a very serious disease. He ended up in an animal hospital for three days which added up to 60000 NOK in total, because nothing was covered by insurance. In Norway now, a new disease is spreading rapidly between dogs that has reportedly killed 22 dogs in the last few days. Many more are expected to have died without it being reported and many more are also expected to die further. The veterinary authorities haven't got a clue as to what this disease is or why so many are dying.

One week ago my younger dog, Dora (5 years old), got the same disease, but she is covered by the insurance, but I still have to cover 20% of her veterinary expenses. For me, this situation has been, energy- and money consuming, and although I were able to pay for Karo's treatment, it wasn't sustainable for me to do so, because I had to take up a loan. Therefore I am asking for the amount that I am.

I can also document to all of you who wants to support my dogs, the veterinary bills I have paid so far.

I Norway, the veterinary authorities are working full time to try to find out what has caused this sudden and scaring illness. So far they haven't got any answers, and I fear for my dogs life, and so many other dogs in Norway.

I have put up a sign on our entrance that my dogs have the disease, so that other dog-owners and neighbors know this area also is infected, so that others are extremely on guard if their dogs show the signs and symptoms of this still unknown disease.
