DODJI NA AMFI’ vol.2 – COME TO THE AMFITEATHER

"Dodji na Amfi" (which mean come to the Amfiteather) is an event that will be organized in my city this summer 2nd year in a row. Idea of an event is to promote interculturlism trough street culture. Breakdance, graffiti, basketball tournament 1vs1, photography, hip hop, are only some of the tools that we will use in order to promote street culture. This is second year of a event, last year almoust everything was an improvisation, since we were out of money. Amfiteather in Nis is a place where youngsters spend their time. Since street culture is not developed in our city, youngsters have really bad image of it. First thing on their mind are drugs and gunshots if u talk with them about street culture. We want to promote real values of this culture. In compering to last year (when we had more then 1000visitors) this year, we would like to raise all of this on much bigger level. We booked some of famous hip hop scene names, and also most famous graffiti maestro name Esko Kurtic. One of the biggest production *light&sound* wants to support us, so they will provide really nice scenography that day, with a stage and special effects. We would need this money to cover travel expenses for our performers and also to pay security agency (around 150e), which we need to have on our event, by the law of Republic of Serbia. Since this event doesnt have commercial carracter, which means, we do not sell tickets, everybody can come and enjoy in street culture and hip hop performers for free, our event will have educational caracter, cause youngsters will have first time in their life to meet street culture on a right way, and maybe some of them will find themselves in some of the tools we will provide. Our idea is that "Dodji na Amfi" will become one of the strongest brand of our city in a future, cause this kind of festival doesnt exist in our country!
