Diego, the Chilean guy to study in France

My name is Diego, I live in Chile and I’m a student of Telematics Engineering. Recently, I have received the awesome news that I have been chosen to study one term (4 months) in a very prestigious university in France next year. It’s a great opportunity and I’ll love to have the chance to take it. The university where I’m studying offers me to pay for the university expenses like the entrance fee for the term and the monthly payment for the study program.

The issue is that it doesn’t cover the expenses related to living there, none of them. Right now, i haven`t been just sitting back, I have been selling diary products from city to city while i’m studying but certainly won’t make all the money I need for such an expensive travel (from Chile to France). That’s why i want to ask for your help and in the same way I will help other boys in need with what I do the best.

I definitely don’t want all this help for free, so I would like to offer you different rewards that, even though they won’t be directed to the supporters, it will definitely help other Chileans in need. One of the things I`ll do is to use the free time I have besides studying to teach maths to other teenagers who are getting ready to apply for a university, another idea is to help the environment planting trees, among other nice ideas.

For example, out of all the pledges lower than 100usd I`ll take the 5% and I’will donate it to the homeless people from the city I live, either with food or shelter for the winter.

Besides, I plan to take pictures of every place I can visit along my residency there and send the best ones to my backers so you can be part of one of the most important experiences of my life.

I have thoroughly calculated the expenses of studying there, including the flight, medical insurance, visa, passport, eating, commuting, lodging and other common living expenses and they sum up to US$10.000.-
