Dialysis Fund for Shirley

Shirley needs our help to raise funds for her weekly dialysis.

Shirley has been suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) since 2010. After being an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Thailand for more than 30 years, Shirley needed to go back home to receive care from her family. Despite the need to quit her work, she did not stop working hard to raise the money she needed for her dialysis sessions. She put up small food cart and milktea businesses as sources of income to support her medical needs for more than 5 years already, but due to the pandemic, she had no choice but to close these down.

Dialysis has been extending her life for 12 years already and the family has exhausted financial aid from the government agencies like DSWD and PCSO. While her Philhealth benefits provide some relief, it's been challenging raising at least Php 3,500.00 per dialysis session - which she needed to have three times a week, excluding the cost of medications and her other needs.

Any financial aid we can extend will certainly help sustain this need.
