Campaign Story
WHY YOU SHOULD DONATE:
We, the students of MSU-Mankato Dental Clinic, are trying to raise money to be able to go to Belize to provide dental care to children ages kindergarten through eighth grade. The children of Holy Cross Anglican Primary School rely solely on volunteers for their dental care. Without volunteers such as us, dental hygiene students, these children would not receive dental treatment. We hope you can help us in achieving our goal to provide dental care to the children in Belize.
GOAL:
- Our goal is to raise $40,000.00
- This amount will cover our flight, room, and food for all twenty of us to go to Belize.
TREATMENT THAT WILL BE PERFORMED:
- We will be providing prophylaxis (cleanings), while a volunteer dentist will be providing fillings, and etc.

I attended a presentation at my mother's church recently in which a member, who is a nurse, went to Africa to work in health clinics for one week. It was a very moving presentation and I firmly believe that not only are these volunteers making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate, but they are coming home changed individuals. If we could all have the opportunity to do such things, I do believe the world would be a much better place for us all.
