Please help us funding 2 cargo bikes!

Cycling embodies personal energy, health and most importantly freedom.

As active europeans, Nina and I travelled and moved a lot in the last three years and finally found ourselves in Copenhagen, Denmark, where Nina studies chemistry as an exchange student. Even though our stay brought us to our financial limits we became quite familiar with the danish lifestyle.

Especially Copenhagen has a characteristic bike culture, which inspired us the most, since we are both passionate bike-riders.

This cult started flourishing around 1980 (oil crisis ‘73, environmental regulations/awareness changed) and nowadays the cycling trend is ever increasing and we can see a beautiful showcase of a clean, healthy and a lively Copenhagen.

How do we bring this to Vienna?

Copenhagen wasn’t always known as a bike city, but people and infrastructure changed. Inspired by that we would like to be a part of our future bike city.

Therefore Nina and I will contribute an article to a magazine called “Drahtesel“ featuring the omnium cargo as the state-of-art danish cargo bike 2018 as well as the cycle tourism in Denmark and in Europe.

Since 30 years Vienna has got it’s own cycling lobby that takes part in political processes and promotes cycling as a sustainable form of transport. “Drahtesel“ is part of this and features several topics around cycling in urban space.

Mission:

sharing copenhagen’s strong bike cult with the viennese and actively promoting sustainable ways of commuting in everyday life
(publishing an article, “Drahtesel“, rent the cargo, free of charge, from us)

About us:

Nina 21 is busy studying technical chemistry and playing rugby. All the time. She rides a Benotto Road Bike.

Philipp is also 21 and a passionate globetrotter and currently working as a tour guide in Copenhagen and will start studying in October at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. He currently rides a KTM Strada 1985.

For you:

An article in your mailbox, dealing about commuting on a bike in and between European cities such as Copenhagen, Berlin and Vienna.
A hands on personal review of the omnium cargo and a cultural exposé from the citys we will visit throughout this summer.

You are a hit!
