COVID-19 Crisis Relief Fund for Bangladesh by AIM Initiative Foundation

During the COVID-19 pandemic, poverty increased up to 60% in Bangladesh and 14% of the population have nothing to eat in their houses. Social distancing and homestay made the situation extremely difficult for the low-income daily wage earners which ultimately resulting in starvation. No daily income directly means no food in those households.

We are from (AIM Initiative Foundation), aiming to raise funds to distribute food necessities to daily wage earners (rickshaw pullers, construction labors, part-time domestic workers, slum dwellers, street hawkers, and various other workers) of Meradiya, Bhuiyapara, Banasree and Rampura area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The main goal is to ensure the safety and protection of these peoples’ lives.

There are more than 6000 low-income families in the above-mentioned areas and among them, 1100 families are suffering from extreme food deprivation. With your donation, no matter how much it is, we will be able to feed these 1100 families for at least 2 weeks and continue to cover the rest of the 6000 families!

We are providing the following food necessities for a family of 4-5 members for 15-20 days-

2kg Pulse
3kg Potatoes
1kg Onions
1Litre Oil
1kg Salt
1kg Flattened Rice
1kg Sugar
500gm Detergent Powder
2 Hand Wash Soaps
The total cost of Per Packet: BDT 1070/12USD Per Family

These packets will be purchased, packed, and distributed by us (the volunteers of AIM Initiative Foundation) in the respective areas. Please contribute as much as you can, because it does not matter how much you are contributing, what matters is that you are contributing!

Note: We have already provided food necessities to 120 families in Meradiya area and have distributed 95 sets of PPE to the healthcare professionals who are in the frontlines in treating COVID-19 patients in Bangladesh but we need more support from all of you to stand together and help Bangladesh fight COVID-19 once and for all!
