ABSTRACT

Hunger is a problem faced by most people in Kenya community

Different counties have their capacity of hunger control

The major cause of hunger is poverty to address hunger in Kenya means addressing poverty

Most Kenyans live for a less than a dollar a day

The dictates of hunger in Kenya emanates from climatic factors and lack of socio- sustainable economic activities

Several groups discuss hunger , water problems and poverty as a very important issue to be addressed

Our 2020 activities program is,

CONSTRUCTION OF PERMACULTUERE COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER

OBJECTIVES

1. To eradicate poverty and hunger

2.To provide space for learning different methods of farming and be computer literate for their future sustainability

3.To stamp out ignorance by empowering the community to pay school fees to the vulnerable

4.To provide amenities to the less productive old ages

5.To start socio- sustainable economic activities eg tailoring and ICT studies

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Anindoko village is an area where there is extreme poverty that kills a good number of residents

Most member of hunger the community live less than a dollar a day

The reason behind this emanate from drastic climatic factors

Drought are prolonged and lack of water is chaotic

The maize syndrome which depends on rain is not sustainable during the drought

Lack of water makes the area to expose to dangerous diseases like cholera, typhoid among others

Lack of socio-sustainable economic activities make the area to register a high level of unemployment, the available few like tailoring and boda boda transport is overstretched and cannot maintain the high population

Politics added wood to fire as non supporters of certain faction are left to suffer and lack social a amenities

FACTORS TO THE PROBLEM

It is not common to see children loitering in the market during school days .some of them are vending cheap commodities which cannot sustain them

Some non productive old age left in markets to masquerade as beggars and squealers

BENEFICIARIES

The project is intended to benefit two thousands people (children) directly or indirectly

The areas to be benefitted include Anindoko, Genga, Kajulu,kochia and Kenya as a whole

Registration to the Permaculture Greenland For the children is open for everybody

BUDGET FOR CONSTRUCTION OF COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER

A. CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

1. 5000 pieces of bricks @7 =$350

2.80 bags of cement @$ 70= $560

3.3 lorries of sand @$140= $420

4.2 lorries of ballast @ $100=$200

5. Water proof polythene bag one roll @$ 30=$30

6. Berbed wire for walling @$ 40=$40

7. 6 pieces of windows@$ 50=$300

8. 10 pieces of doors @$120=$ 1200

9.Binding wire one roll @$ 30= $30

10. 70 pieces ofiron sheets for roofing @$13=$910

B. BUILDING NAILS

11. 5 kgs 2 inches @$ 5=$25

12. 3kgs 3inches @$5=$15

13.4kgs 4 inches @$5=$20

14.5kgs 5inches @$5=$25

15.Y12 for lean tall 15 pieces @$7=$105

16. 4000feet pieces of timber for roofing @$2.5=$1000

C. LABOUR CHARGE

4 BUILDING ENGINEERS @ day $8 for two weeks = 4×8=32 ×12 days=$384

4 UNSKILLED LABOURERS @day $4 for two weeks= 4×4=16×12days=$188


TOTAL AMOUNT=$ 5500

We and I believe that God willing when we build the house for these permaculture children and group members, we shall achieve our objective of living a digital life of having all the needed resources at hand since we can now learn different permaculture knowledge and also to acquire the necessary skills as we'll be learning even computer or ICTs and other vocational jobs that will enable our children who are orphans to live a better life

I therefore request all my pals from different horizons to chip in and help awesomely since this is a very genuine and transparent project that will empower numbers and numbers of the vulnerable persons in the society
