Conservation and Research project in Zimbabwe!

Hey guys! I appreciate you taking time to look over my page. Let me highlight the goal of this project, and a little background on how it started and where it's going! ★THE BACKGROUND: WHO I AM First and foremost, my name is Lindsay. It's nice to meet you ;) I'm currently 22, and a student at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado. My major is Zookeeping Technology, which may sound like a joke but believe me it's not! Its actually rather difficult! Earlier this year, I made a crazy decision to go to Namibia and volunteer. I took all expenses out of my student loans, which I rely on 100% to attend school. My parents (neither of whom are college educated or contribute to my schooling) told me I'd lost my mind. I very well may have, but it was the best decision I have ever made. Which brings me to the topic and why you're still reading this: the project. ★THE PROJECT: WHY? Upon arriving to Namibia, I didn't know what to expect. I saw both good and bad in the people, in the culture, and of the land. I volunteered for 3 weeks at a wildlife rehabilitation center, which takes in orphaned and injured native wildlife and releases it safely onto their property. It was such an amazing experience, and every day was full of new challenges. Since I'm in school for something so unique, I was starting to doubt spending all that money to get a degree where well paying jobs are non-existant and ANY job is hard to find. But once I made contact with these animals I knew this is what I am supposed to be doing. The first time around, I volunteered with cheetahs, caracles, leopards, lions, and baboons. This time around I am looking to work and research my true love: pachyderms. Rhinos and Elephants. The big guys! Simply put: it's my passion, where my heart lies, and the crazy investment I'm making for my life. ★WHO IS THIS GOING TO HELP? Everyone. Literally, the whole planet. Me , because I can lend my passion, talent, knowledge, and professionalism to a field racked with political pressure and bribery. You, because giving to a good cause makes you feed great! Last and most importantly: EARTH! The world needs animals for more than food or something to look at. Literally, without the animals, we wouldn't be here either. The people of Africa depend on the animals to generate an economy from tourism, but also for food and other necessities. ★LETS TALK MONEY: WHERE DOES IT GO?
