I have always wanted to attend a convention for my interests; art, comics, anime, etc. This is the first time ComiCon is held in Asia, and it's in the Philippines to boot. I heard about this just before the end of last year and I've been saving as much money as I can since.
I'm still in junior high, I don't have much for an allowance, and I can't find a job yet. I can't ask my parents for money because they already have enough problems without adding my interests in.
I think this is the only chance I have, not until years later, because it's just 8 hours away by bus, not 8 hours away by airplane. It's so close, I can feel myself tembling.
I'm excited with the concept of meeting various comic stars, hearing their advice to further my talents in drawing and storytelling, to be part of the convention where people can understand why I'm starry-eyed and taking pictures of everyone because they're doing the same thing too.
I'm anxious, too. By the rate I'm going, saving half my allowance five days a week for eight weeks left, I'm doubting whether or not I'll be able to go.
Every little bit helps, so I'm thanking everyone who can help now.
