Campaign Story
Let’s support Cody in his journey to share God’s heart with the Japanese!
Cody has been given a great opportunity to spread the word of God and serve the church through the international organization, TEAM. He will be sent to Tokyo, Japan on an 8-month journey (September 2018 – April 2019) wherein he would be teaching Japanese people about the Gospel through English classes, English café, Bible studies, music, and other special events for the community.
The funds raised will be used to aid his daily needs while living in Japan. It will also be used to support TEAM and the activities/events in the ministry area.
About Cody
Cody is a down-to-earth man from North Carolina who has been serving the church in different ways since he was young. He has led worship (through music) starting 11th grade for his youth group. He was in a worship band that made multiple albums and performed in various church events. He participated in volunteer work and outreach programs. In 2010, he began his undergraduate degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) with a double major in Christian Studies and Music. In 2013, he became a youth pastor at a church in North Carolina. In 2015, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in professional live audio for Christian bands.
What is TEAM?
TEAM, The Evangelical Alliance Mission, is a global alliance of churches and missionaries. They send out people to various locations around the world to establish churches. They have developed specialized ministries such as hospitals, Bible institutes, orphanages, publications, linguistic work and children’s education. TEAM, and its network of over 2,000 churches, continues to explore new fields for missionary work and innovative ways to serve.

Why Japan?
Although modern, technologically advanced, & well-educated, Japan is a land of spiritual darkness. Only about 0.43% of the population are Christians. It’s one of the countries in the world with the highest suicide rates. Social withdrawal syndrome has also been rampant wherein individuals isolate themselves & never venturing out into society.
