CleanUp Campaigns

Projeto Gea - Σχέδιο Γης is a voluntary movement, since 2019, for a better planet to raise public awareness about the problem of pollution. Through our campaigns in Faro & Olhão, we want to help people become more aware of how they deal with the waste they produce so that they can gradually acquire a more conscious attitude.

Why are we creating this fundraising?

The purpose of this fundraising is to get more and better equipment for our campaigns and to be able to do campaigns along the Algarve region.

We are looking for better-quality tools like more resistant gloves and trash pickers. So far, our trash pickers have been broken after some uses, and some of our gloves have suffered some "damages".
At some point, we would like to avoid using plastic bags to collect trash and replace them with resistant and reusable bags. It would be a lot easier for people to carry them also. But for now, we need to invest in plastic bags.

In addition, the money will be used when we need to mail(using Rede Expressos) the cigarette butts we collect in the Algarve region to Rede Biataki for the project #BiataCircular. They will be recycled using mushroom cultivation techniques, intended to decontaminate them so the end product will be useful for eco-construction materials.

We would like to invest in personalised clothes, with our logo so it's easier to get recognised by new participants and by the community and in any material that would be beneficial for the quality of the cleanups.
