Campaign Story
Hello friends!
Here comes Charity Holiday party V.2. Last year was a success and we wouldn't be able to do it without all your donations. This time as the children are back in school, the money will mainly go to school supplies, bags, books, and reading materials etc.
Education is a right, not a privilege.
OF THOSE SEVEN CHILDREN, ONLY 4 WILL COMPLETE HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION, AND OF THOSE 4, JUST ONE WILL PROCEED ONTO THE UNIVERSITY.
Increased child prostitution and child trafficking are two of the main damages caused by poverty due to lack of education in the country.
- Many Filipino children take to the streets to fend for themselves and their families. They are searching for a means of survival. These children see prostitution and other forms of harmful activities as an easy route out of their current predicament.
- Foreign tourists and locals alike use these children as child prostitutes to either satisfy their needs.
- Child trafficking is a major concern for the government to protect the children. Traffickers are constantly on the lookout for young children of very tender age to service clients.
- Various security agencies have raided brothels and found young children as young as 13 years old servicing about 15 individuals every night.
Join me in sharing the ‘gift of education’ this holiday season and let these girls & boys experience love and support.
The Philippines is the global epicenter of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children. Some of these girls were even sold out by their caretakers/parents. Clark, Zambales where the organization is located, a former U.S. naval base is a hotspot for sex trafficking.
Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
