My name is Charlene Therese Sopio Ngo and I’m 13 years old. I reached out to my mother’s friends to help me make this write up so I can help save her life. Shortly after I was born, my mom and dad separated and my mom Charity had to raise me on her own. Because of the difficulties in life, she had to go to Manila to work and I had to stay with my grandparents in Bacolod City. She worked really hard just to give me a bright future, she sends me to a good school and gives everything that can make our lives comfortable. In 2015 mama and her childhood friend Daddy Darren became partners and I Thank God because he is very good to us. Just last year they bore my little sister Belle. It was relatively a healthy pregnancy that is why what followed was completely unexpected.

A few weeks ago, 6 months after giving birth, my mom experienced intense bruising and irregular bloating. Her eyes were so swollen that we knew something was wrong. What we thought was a minor infection or a simple insect bite turned out to be something much worse. It was her birthday February. 4, when the initial CBC showed abnormalities in her blood, she was referred to go to a Hematologist. Upon seeing the Dr. Right there and then she was advised for confinement and to be immediately subjected for blood transfusion. She was feeling extremely weak and nauseated. Initial finding was Acute Leukemia. We hoped for something much lighter but a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy test confirmed it as a final diagnosis. It was February.14 and Mommy is confirmed to have a B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a condition requiring 26-28 sessions of chemo (Induction/Remission Phase) administered weekly and multiple hospital confinement.

Since my mom is the sole bread winner in our family and she currently is unable to work, I am seeking your help in funding her treatment. Every peso counts and any amount will highly be appreciated. Help me and my month-old sister Belle save our mother. She has the will to fight this illness since the type of her Leukemia is Curable/Treatable wherein 60-80% chances of recovery is noted.
