Let us join hands to end the plight of young learners in Luanda Nursery! Luanda Nursery School is in Migori County in Kenya. Luanda Nursery School, is a school that caters for young children aged between four and five years. As an early childhood development center, it is very import that the institution nurtures the young children within a safe and comfortable environment. A safe environment ensures that the young children learn and play with one another to develop not only cognitive skills, but also social emotional skills, which are import. in their later development in life. It is, however, worth noting that Luanda Nursery School is operating in an environment that is not very conducive for the learners. The classroom in which the children learn does not have a cemented floor, which therefore means that the young learners are constantly exposed to dirty dust. The dust regularly affects the children, as many of them are allergic to it. Additionally, some of the young learners are forced to miss some school days because of the serious colds and influenza that they catch from the dust. The classroom does not have enough desks/seats, thus forcing some of the young learners to sit on the dusty floor. This situation really exposes the children to harmful dirt. It is our belief that these young learners will immensely participate in class activities when they learn and play in a cemented classroom. A cemented classroom is easy to clean, and will make it easier for teachers to interact well with the learners in order for them to progress and develop cognitively and even socially.
