Cats Lives Matter!

Building a new no-kill cat sanctuary in the Chloraka/Paphos area.

I'm surrounded by cats and I also go around feeding cat colonies, but there's a bigger problem that needs to be addressed. There is currently only one no-kill shelter in the Paphos area. That is the Tala Cat Monastry, talacats.com and they currently have 850 cats and are about full capacity.

There needs to be another similar shelter with full veterinary facilities, a clinic with all the necessary equipment, many cat hotels/homes, and a separate area for disabled cats. There will need to be full-time staff, and plenty of volunteers, and that is the problem I want to address.

I want to build a cat sanctuary from scratch and I hope eventually to have at least 1000 cats (because there are many thousands of unhomed/feral cats in Paphos and Chloraka). They need forever homes, love and attention, veterinary care and lots of love and attention.

I want enough land to have room for expansion. Food will be a big expense but I hope that in return for publicity, I can persuade some big cat food companies to donate food regularly. Also, I'll need a website, but I can build and run websites, so that won't cost a lot yearly.

So basically it's a huge project and I'll need all the help I can get. Thank you for any help you can give, especially with the GOGETFUNDING Cats Lives Matter project and any publicity and suggestions, as well as helping to get the backing of big donors. There will be a list of them on the website, and I want to get someone to do a YouTube channel for the project and then ongoing, about the people and the cats that come in. And people can become sponsors not only of cats but also for the Cats Lives Matter project, which I think will be a good name for it. What do you think?

I want to do everything Tala Cats does and more. They currently have permanent paid staff, plus a bunch of volunteers. They rely on donations to keep things going and expand each year.

So I will ask around if someone can donate land, but that is unlikely, and it will probably have to be bought.

There will need to be building work, which requires permits etc, and a lot of money to get things going. I'm guessing probably 1.5 million to get the whole thing going properly. And I'm going to need lots of volunteers. This project will be widely publicised.

I did successfully run a business in the UK with my ex-wife, selling health products, and we were turning over £2.5million when she bought me out 10+ years ago, but it was a very bitter divorce, and she got the house. Since then, my money has gone although I'm owed money by publishers and a filmmaker in the UK.

I'm writing a new book and putting up writing gigs on Fiverr and other places, but it's going to take a long time for that to pay off.

I also want to work hard (and currently do) to help Trap, Neuter, and Return cats, and give medical treatment to those who need it, as well as working hard to get publicity for people to give cats a forever home. Too many people come over here for a few months and when they leave, they leave their cats behind, and I often take the poor starving animals in.
