Castle ruin salvage – Csonkavar

Ruin of the Castle Csonkavár (truncated castle) is in Kralovsky Chlmec (little town in East part of Slovakia). It’s a ruin of the gothic palace from beginning of the 15. century, demolished in 1558. Csonkavár is on the list of Slovak National Monuments, and it was prescribed by the responsible National Heritage officers to manage the necessary archaeological research of the area before any reconstruction can start. After 6 years of hard work this phase is over and we can fully focus on the preservation of the excavated walls of the palace. In 2024 we would like to preserve an estimated 40m of walls. Expected costs are 15 000,- EUR. This ruin is the symbol of our little town and with your help we can restore and preserve it for the upcoming generations : )
