Casa Mama Lupita, Needs A Miracle!

We all could make a difference, to help feed families, children and the elderly.

Hello, My Name is Jorge Moya. I want to start this campaign in behalf of “Casa Mama Lupita” a shelter for homeless and vulnerable people. That has done incredible miracles to help anyone in need in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Four years ago, Mama Lupita and Papa Paco, decided to use their life savings and open a shelter for the homeless and those less fortunate in the community where besides a bed, a hot shower and food, every single person would be treated with love, dignity and respect. A place where everyone is welcomed and cared.

Their labour has been welcomed and appreciated by the community, and the local government has awarded Casa Mama Lupita two times for their altruist work and emotional support for those in need.

2020 was a difficult year for everyone. And the community where Casa Mama Lupita was no exception. Seeing the increased number of unemployment and the families in need Mama Lupita opened the doors to everyone in need.

The daily hot dinners and free groceries, grew from a 100 to up to 500 daily sets. Giving the people some hope and security in this difficult times.

During the fight against the COVID pandemic. Papa Paco got infected with COVID in June, three weeks later he lost his battle against COVID and passed away. Leaving a great emptiness in the community and her life partner Mama Lupita.

But the grief of losing Papa Paco, turned into a will to become more supportive to the community and extent the help to more families.

Today, Casa Mama Lupita needs your help. Between the COVID pandemic and the loss of Papa Paco. The expenses are bigger than they used to be. And has become harder for just one person to be on top of this hard but necessary labour.

To be able to continue with this noble cause, Casa Mama Lupita needs to cover their monthly bills. Which include rent, electricity, water, gas, nurses, staff etc. Please help Mama Lupita help those in need. Your donations are needed.
