PALU – Sad news from the earthquake and tsunami in Palu keeps coming. Until Saturday (9/29) afternoon at 1 p.m., newest information from Indonesian National Disaster Mitigation board (BNPB) showed that 384 people had been confirmed dead after the earthquake and tsunami that hit the city of Palu in Central Sulawesi.

Additionally, 540 were reportedly heavily wounded. They were being treated in Woodward Hospital, Budi Agung Hospital, Samaritan Hospital, Undata Mamboro General Hospital and Wirabuana Hospital in Palu.

“As of September 29 at 1 p.m., the deth toll has reached 384, but it’s just in Palu. We haven’t received any data about number of casualties in Donggala,” said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesperson for National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) in Graha BNPB, Jakarta, Saturday (9/29).
