Camille’s Kidney Transplant

Hi! I am Camille DC Bandiez and I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 Secondary to Glumerulonephritis. I have been under Hemodialysis Treatment twice a week since being diagnosed with end-stage CKD on April 10, 2018. At the time, I don't have any financial options in mind to pursue Kidney Transplant so I decided on doing Hemodialysis Treatment instead.

Ever since doing the treatment, I have lost weight drastically, from 62kgs to 45 kgs. Aside from the adverse effect of doing Hemodialysis, it also affected my work. I have been doing treatment twice a week so this automatically means that my work-hours has also decreased. In addition to that, the cost of doing the treatment and the medicines are really expensive. I have been very fortunate to have a job, which can somehow support the medical expenses during my battle with CKD.

Just this January 2019, my attending Doctor during dialysis had performed a check-up on me. They found some irregularities with my heart. In addition to that, it scares me that my weight has been constantly declining. I fear that one day, after all the complications and declined weight, I might lose my ability to work; thus, losing the ability to fight the disease.

My brother, whose been assisting me during Dialysis had volunteered to be my donor.
