Youth Cadet development in Ghana has a reach a point whereby its needs redevelopment to position properly to support the youth.
A 15 year student asked me what is the main benefit of being part of the cadet corps, I answered him and said, its about building your future. Your future as in career and living a meaningful life.

The Cadet Program also has a direct impact on Ghanaian society as a whole. Cadets have the opportunity to take part in various leadership roles throughout the program. There is definite value in having well-rounded, community-minded, experienced young people who are ready to assume their places as tomorrow’s leaders and decision makers.
Truly unique to the Cadet Program is that it offers experiences you cannot get anywhere else! The Cadet Program stimulates an interest in the Army, Navy and Air activities of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). To this end, we offer dynamic training in a supportive and efficient environment where change is a positive and essential element.
The mission of the Cadet Program is to contribute to the development and preparation of youth for the transition to adulthood, enabling them to meet the challenges of modern society, through a dynamic, community-based program.
The vision of the Cadet Program is a relevant, credible and proactive youth development organization, offering the program of choice for Ghana’s youth, preparing them to become the leaders of tomorrow through a set of fun, challenging, well-organized and safe activProgram.
Currently the cadet corps is not able to meet its objective due to financial challges.
The funding in request is will be used to the do following development.
- Set a flight simulators training centre for air cadets to get some experience in piloting
- Get used boats for the naval cadets to learn sailing.
- A training yard for field craft lessons for all cadets.
