Bypass heart surgery

Suddenly and unexpectedly, our friend Mike had open heart surgery to replace a damaged mitral valve in his heart. Thankfully, after spending a few weeks in the hospital, he's on the mend. However, as you can imagine, it will be some time before he is able to return to work....

Which is where Mike, his wife and their two children need your help.

Often when friends or family fall sick or tragedy strikes it's hard to see what help you can be or what good you can possibly do.

Not in this case.

Mike works as a contract business consultant and is a very good one. But as a contractor, he doesn't get paid if he doesn't work.

This is where we come in. Though he has insurance, the high deductable means sizeable medical bills in addition to lost time at work and the cost of supporting a family and household.

Mike would give any of us the shirt of his back. He's that kind of guy. Unfortunately, this time he needs your shirt. And by shirt we mean financial support.
