Subsidy grant is meant to assist the underprivileged trainees during their training period and after.
Trainees find it difficult to pay for both their monthly tuition fees and training material. The subsidy
scheme was introduced in 2016. This concept paper outlines initial ideas developed by KSTC
management team as follows:
To make it easier for students who have insufficient money to pay their tuition fees or buying
required training material to finish the course on time.
To give a chance to some of the severely disadvantages young people to develop themselves
through technical skills.
To reduce the number of registered students who drop out due to financial difficulties.
