Building a Childrens Village

We believe we are not raising orphans, we are raising sons and daughters and so we want to ensure that everyone is living their best life now and are ready for their futures. Here in the Philippines, many kids don’t have access to free healthcare or to good hospitals and so in our area, many come from far flung provinces to the City Hospital Baguio General Hospital This is where they can have their treatments, surgeries and a chance at recovery As they have to travel so far though, many don’t finish the treatment We have a Childrens Recovery Unit for them to come stay for free while they recover and receive treatment . This gives them and their families the best chance at survival!

We have long since outgrown our current housing and have been looking for a place to call our own for years. We’ve been able to purchase 3326 square meters of land just a short drive from the Hospital. That is where we will put up our purpose build Childrens Village. We will have a Childrens home, A Childrens Recovery Unit and an additional space for children with special needs. We will have a wing specifically for hospice care as we realised this is a great need.

The village will be a one of a kind in the Philippines. We want to be able to say yes to more sick children and children in need of a safe space to live while the adults in their lives are working things out. It’s so difficult to say no. This month alone we had 5 new referrals but were only able to say yes to 3.

Building the village will take time and patience. It’ll take commitment and we will need all the help we can get to get it built! They say it takes a village to raise a child, but we need your help to make the village! We have done groundbreaking and start to build the first cottages on January 28th! This is Phase one! We hope to finish the first cottages while it’s dry season before the monsoon rains come.
